The Washington State Department of Commerce is developing a new technical assistance program for clean hydrogen and hydrogen-derived fuels and is seeking your input. If your organization produces hydrogen, operates as an end user, or provides technical support services, this Request for Information (RFI) directly impacts you.
What's an RFI? It's how government agencies gather industry insights before allocating funding. Commerce is using this process to shape a program supported by 2025–27 state budget resources available through June 30, 2027. They want to understand market barriers, technical needs, and opportunities across the hydrogen value chain-information that will directly inform how funds are deployed.
This is your chance to influence how Washington State invests in hydrogen infrastructure and market development. Ready to engage? Complete the questionnaire by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
Questions? Contact Shannon Pressler, the RFI coordinator, to discuss industry needs and barriers directly.
