The Emission Compliance, Automotive Regulations and Science (ECARS) Division is recruiting for an Air Pollution Specialist vacancy. The successful candidate will join the Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Section in the Advanced Clean Cars Branch (ACCB). The ACCB’s mission is to foster a sustainable market for zero and near zero emission light-duty technologies through regulation and complementary policies. The Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Section within ACCB is responsible for developing and implementing complimentary policies for the zero emission vehicle regulation, including fuel cell technology assessments and zero emission vehicle infrastructure development. These efforts will include technical, environmental and economic assessments, assistance with charging and fueling station development, participation in codes and standards tracking, development and implementation efforts, and public outreach and education. Support of the commercialization of hydrogen vehicles will include participation in and support of the activities of the California Fuel Cell Partnership, the California Energy Commission, and the activities of other agencies through information exchange, technical analysis and public outreach.
