Today, the Golden State welcomes Chevron’s second retail hydrogen station, located in Vacaville, further strengthening the company’s commitment to advancing hydrogen mobility across California.
The station is currently in a soft-opening phase, operating 12 hours per day, with plans to transition to full 24/7 retail service in the coming weeks.
This station marks another key milestone for Chevron, following the successful opening of its first hydrogen station in Moreno Valley in May 2025. Both stations reflect Chevron’s growing investment in the future of zero-emission transportation and its support for expanding California’s hydrogen fueling network.
California is steadily progressing toward its goal of 100 retail hydrogen stations to support the roll-out of fuel-cell electric passenger vehicles (FCEVs). In parallel, H2FCP and its members are collaborating on hydrogen stations for fuel cell buses and medium and heavy-duty trucks while also drafting a new mobility strategy for the next phase of passenger vehicle commercialization in California and beyond.
To find the Vacaville station, visit the H2FCP station map at www.h2fcp.org/stationmap. For real-time station status and location details, FCEV drivers can also visit m.h2fcp.org on mobile.
Please note: H2FCP does not manage or operate the station.
