Under the direction of the Executive Director, the incumbent will plan, organize and direct the activities of the Fuels and Transportation Division of the California Energy Commission and ensure that these activities are coordinated with other state programs. The incumbent will advise the Commission, Governor's Office, members of the Legislature and other governmental agencies on matters related to the development and deployment of alternative fuels and vehicle technology in California, including zero and near-zero emission vehicles and infrastructure; participate in the development, evaluation and implementation of Commission and State transportation energy programs and policy; represent the Division before the Commission, the State Legislature and the general public; and participate as a member of the Commission's executive management team.
