10/08 Wednesday

Hydrogen Day, held on October 8 (10/08), aligns with hydrogen’s atomic weight—1.008 amu—and serves as a national spotlight on this critical energy carrier. Day two features a full program of expert panels, fireside chats, and technical talks, examining hydrogen’s role in decarbonization, energy security, and innovation. This event brings together leaders from industry, government, and academia to advance dialogue and collaboration in the hydrogen space.

10/09 Thursday

Tour the Hydrogen ProtoHub (9:00 a.m.) at the Center for Electromechanics at UT's Pickle Research Campus, a first-of-its-kind hydrogen technology protohub featuring multiple forms of renewable hydrogen generation and end-use applications. The Hydrogen ProtoHub supports a wide range of hydrogen technology demonstration pilots, producing and using hydrogen on-site to power UT's Texas Advanced Computing Center. It is also the only public hydrogen vehicle fueling station in Texas. Come see this unique research facility.

“The facility is a proving ground for future hydrogen technologies,” said Michael Lewis, director UT Austin’s Center for Electromechanics. View the KXAN news feature
