While the provision signified the perceived role hydrogen will play in our clean energy future, the focus now shifts to how these projects will be developed and deployed for maximum impact.

National laboratories within the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Hydrogen Materials Compatibility Consortium (H-Mat) have led research and development (R&D) on hydrogen pipelines for over a decade in collaboration with other leading research groups and industry members throughout the United States.
