Dubbed Scenic Vision, the vehicle will have a carbon footprint that’s 75% lower than a conventional EV because it uses mostly recycled materials, a smaller battery and renewable energy sources to produce hydrogen, Renault said Thursday. Energy giant opening $250M plant in North Las Vegas

Mike Graff, chairman and CEO of American Air Liquide Holdings, said in a statement to the Review-Journal that the plant is the company’s largest such project globally to supply hydrogen energy to the “mobility market.”

It will produce liquid hydrogen in North Las Vegas to meet the “growing demand” in California, Graff said, adding the plant has the capacity to supply more than 40,000 fuel cell vehicles in that state.

Namx HUV revealed ahead of 2022 Paris Motor Show

Afro-European technology company Namx has revealed a new hydrogen-powered SUV that breaks with fuel cell convention in featuring six individual hydrogen capsules that can be swapped out to speed up fuel stops.

Called the HUV, it is claimed to be able to achieve a range of almost 800km. Along with the capsules, it is also fitted with a fixed hydrogen tank and together they power either a top-of-the-range 404kW or entry-level 221kW electric motor.
